So at the end of the day, when by definition one is most tired and thus prone to slightly insensitive behavior or overwrought irritation at same, rather than just go to sleep and wake up like it never happened, or sort it through in the optimistic morning light when you’re fully rested, you should force yourselves to stay awake and grind through an argument, knowing full well that the fatigue which engendered the disagreement will make you prone to saying things that could escalate a disagreement into an actual fight?

Automatic Midnight is the Hot Snakes Debut. On this record you will find the perfect combination of guitar velocity, pulsating low end organs, bombastic drum repetition and vocal howl. The album blisters from its initial blast until the decay of last chord a DSPN (downstroke per minute) ratio at higher levels than anything Black Flag or the Ramones ever offered. Taking thier cues from the dark sounds of bands like suicide, music machine, and crime and yes, the wipers. The Hot Snakes represent the most fierce, sinister throb in the punk form. Automatic midnight is dense with waves of shifting turbulence. Plunge into the licorice fudge.
The Hot Snakes 2nd album and a return to the sinister throb. Their chemistry now a congealed flan-like murk, with Rick’s Guitar work and Gar’s organ, Bass and Hi Tech sensibilities a new addition for these recordings. Still present is the enormous boom and the violent DSPN (Downstrokes Per Minute) levels, but now compacted aftershocks are swung like an army of baseball bats. The new Hot Snakes monitor the output ‘Off the Meter’ and decide to ‘go wild’. Together they hammer out a 13 story phallus to appease the gods.
The band’s third record and at times their most violent! Unnatural caterwuling and symphonic turbulence penetrates your ear balls and melts your buttery sweet breads! Do you like to party with monkeys in the crater of an active volcano? “Audit in Progress” advances on the manic pace of its predecessors witgh a feverish excitement found only in extreme sports such as base jumping and moustache riding. The thrilling excitement is barely contained in the digi-grooves of this cd and the lp version will literally have your needle jumping away from the cursed noise. The “Woof Blow Sub” of the band’s earlier sound is caffinated and reintroduced. The relentless hammering of yore has graduated
